Ever since I could remember, I’ve dreamed of sitting in a bathtub of blood. Since I can’t actually kill anyone for photos or otherwise, fake blood is the next best thing.

Have you seen the movie 13 ghosts? If not then stop right here. No really, I’ll wait. Go watch this damn movie before I spoil anything for you.

Ok. Step one done. So now you know what I have to do. I‘ve played with blood and scar wax. Spirit gum and duo glue. From acrylics to cream paint. And I filmed it all. If you watched the video I did for last year, you’ll see how far I’ve come to this year.

I think it‘s come to time. Time for the disclaimer on this post.

Isn’t she beautiful?!?

The blood. The cuts. This is my SFX dream. THE FREAKING TUB OF BLOOD

The jealousy of beauty. This character is another of my inner egos.

Are you excited? So am I

Are her eyes blue or just bloody? Tell me- comment your answer. The look is done and the photos are done. Just for argument sake, I want to know how close I came to this cosplay.

I used a wig. It was auburn in color. Then I Sprayed it over with an orange hair spray.

Cuts were made with liquid latex adhered scar wax. I laid out a strip and spread the edges as best I could. Then used a putty knife to cut the middle of the scar wax and spread it open. add in some red cream paint and finish with fake blood gel and scab blood. Some areas really turned out better than others. Notice the spot on my abdomen above. The edges really didn’t want to stick and the hot water made the scar wax soft and peel-y.

The drips in the shower are actually clear sheets with fake blood running down them. I hung them between myself and the camera.

My tub of blood!!!! Recipe came out to being 1 bottle of blood gel, 2 bottles of fake blood, fill as desired with hot to warm water. It takes mixing to thin down the blood gel.

And here we find ourselves at the end of this project. I had fun with this one and I’m looking to plan for next year. Thank you for joining and reading through all this. And for bearing with me through not posting more. Let me know if you liked this one. As always be kind. 💋🖤💋
